Ombudsman
Patients at University of Leipzig Medical Center have their own independent advocate: an ombudsman whom they can approach with their concerns, namely Prof. Dr. Georg Freiherr von Salis-Soglio. An ombudsman acts as a go-between when patients, family members and medical staff come into conflict or have problems communicating with one another, and these problems prove difficult or impossible for the staff in the complaints office to resolve.
