As one of the largest research institutions in Saxony, the Faculty of Medicine is engaged in almost every branch of medicine. The main areas of research are molecular and cellular communication, diseases of the brain and the mind, modern diseases such as diabetes, arteriosclerosis and obesity, and clinical regeneration. The Clinical Trial Centre provides support in planning, carrying out and evaluating academic and clinical studies.
